Duncan Regional Hospital Health Careers Advisor, Lesa Hefner, presented a hands-on lesson about health career opportunities to the Duncan High School Pathways to Future Careers Internship students last week. Her lessons introduced students to numerous career opportunities in the healthcare industry along with an introduction to post secondary degree and certification programs locally available to current and graduating students that are in high demand.
Students stepped into the shoes of a radiologist and imaging technician during one activity, diagnosing the patient's issue based on x-ray images and other provided information.
