Physicians Assistant

Physician Assistants examine, diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a licensed physician. PAs can prepare casts or splints, suture minor wounds, interpret medical tests and prescribe most medications.

  • Bachelor’s Degree – no specific major is required but need to have completed coursework in anatomy, microbiology, physiology

  • ​Physician Assistant Master’s Program – 2-3 years combining classroom and clinical experience (minimum 2,000 hours)

  • Bachelor's - 4 Years

  • Master's - 2-3 Years

  • Obtain Licensure – pass the PA National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

  • Hospitals
