Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) respond to emergency calls, treat patients in emergency medical and trauma situations, and transport them to medical facilities.

  • Students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Services program are encouraged to participate in the HOSA - Future Health Professionals student organizational. HOSA activities include:  Leadership, community service, and state and national competitive events. 

  • You must pass state EMS skill and written exam in order to register with the state of Oklahoma or a nationally accredited test for EMR license. 

  • Must pass a criminal background check.

  • 72 hours of training in Theory and Lab.

  • Skill performance with a written exam.

  • Fire Departments

  • Police departments

  • Volunteer fire departments

  • Business and industry areas for safety.
