Certified Nursing Assistant
Certified Nursing Assistants (or Long Term Care Aides) perform all the duties related to daily living activities and effectively communicate with the resident, family members, and medical staff. They practice safety and infection control and apply legal and ethical behavior.

Must work 8 hours in LTC facility in a two year period of time to renew certification and attend an approved training program.

Pass State Certification that is regulated by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority for Nurse Aide Registry. Certification is current for two years.

Students must provide a social security card or proof of US citizenship and must pass a background check.

80 hours of Theory/Lab and 16 hours of clinical hours (3 weeks to 3 months)
