PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
(PTA)
A physical therapy assistant helps patients that are healing from illnesses or injuries regain movement and manage pain under the supervision of a physical therapist. They provide direct patient care such as facilitating specific exercises, stretching, or teaching patient how to use prescribed equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Associate’s degree from an accredited medicine technology program. You must also pass a licensure exam in order to practice.
