Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are mental health professionals who bring a family-oriented perspective and treatment approach to health care related to mental, emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal disorders. They can also provide premarital, relationship, child, separation and divorce counseling.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work; Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling psychology; complete supervised experience under a licensed LMFT and pass state licensing exam.
