DOCTOR OF AUDIOLOGY
(Au.D)
Audiologists are concerned with the evaluation, education and treatment of individuals with hearing disorders.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelor’s Degree – no specific degree is required but audiology doctoral programs require courses in physics, math, anatomy, and physiology.
Doctor of Audiology – in 2012, audiologists must earn doctoral degree to be eligible for national certification.

CERTIFICATIONS
Obtain American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certification (ASHA) – must complete a minimum of 1,820 hours of supervised clinical practice.
