Desktop Technicians are responsible for establishing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and computer equipment. They may also keep an inventory of various software and equipment, maintain maintenance schedules.
A 2-year associate’s degree or 4-year bachelor’s degree in a computer science-related field. Course work to prepare should focus on computer technology and operating systems.
