CERTIFIED LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
(CLT)
Certified Laboratory Technicians collect fluid and tissue samples, analyze the composition and content of blood, urine and other fluids stain and examine cell tissue, identify disease-carrying organisms and diseased or damaged cells, record test results. They may also maintain records of lab tests and set-up, calibrate and maintain lab equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
You must be a high school graduate or equivalent and earn a clinical lab technician or medical lab technician associate’s degree.
